Jughead's dog, Hot Dog, is hit and run by Reggie. He takes the dead pooch to Sabrina, the Teenaged Witch and she tries to help bring him back. It doesn't seem to work and he leaves, heart-broken. But trying to bring the dead back has pissed off her Aunts and they banish her to another dimension. That night, Jughead's dog comes to life and attacks him, infecting him with the undead virus, which is not good when he shows up at Riverdal High School's Halloween Dance and begins attacking people, such as Moose's girlfriend. At first the students think it's a joke but soon realize something is wrong with their friend. The surviving friends, including Archie, Betty and Veronica, hole up at Veronica's house, where her father has some safeguards to protect them from the invading zombies...
I found this not as fun as ARCHIE VS. PREDATOR, but it is an entertaining read. The characters are drawn more realistically and the story is quite grim. Recommended.
