In this third Battlestar Galactica book co-written by star Richard Hatch, the Galactica, now joined by the Pegasus and two newly constructed Battlestars, return to the planet of Kobol, where their journey towards Earth originally began. Using ancient technology they are able to travel faster than light--and once on Kobol discover a vast underground city with a secret to their salvation. In pursuit are the cylons, who are modifying themselves with human DNA, as well as an insect type alien they have allied themselves with. This book is a decent continuation of the Battlestar Mythos, totally ignoring the piss-poor GALACTICA 1980 series. Hatch's new series of books takes place 20 years after the series ended and introduces new characters, such as Starbuck's daughter, Dalton.
