BLESSED THISTLE is a graphic novel that believably and effectively portrays some of the real-life horrors that happen in our society. The four stories are linked together by the first tale, in which a young man breaks into a widower's home and is given an unexpected welcome. He relates a story about his "Bad Seed" sister, which then goes to story about her teacher, which then goes to a story about scientist experimenting in a lab.
The only thing I didn't like about this book was the introduction by Arvid Nelson, who over-hypes the book and basically tells you what you should get out of it. He also states that it's about "True Evil", when in truth the graphic novel is about a few individuals who are mentally ill.
I recommend you pick up the book but read the introduction after you finish reading the story.
