This graphic novel contains issues #15-22 of what has become my favorite superhero comic book. Starlight is still having doubts about joining "The Seven", as it's not anything remotely how she thought it would be. She and Hughie consumate their relationship, though never knows they are working on opposite sides, more or less. The Blarney Cock, the hero that Hughie accidently killed at the beginning of the series, has returned to life (heroes are hard to kill!), though he's basically a zombie retard. Hughie is forced to kill him again in a kind of horrible scene.
it's also revealed "What really happened" when The Seven tried to stop a plane from crashing into the Twin Towers and end up destroying the Brooklyn Bridge instead. Although they have powers they have no practical idea how to use them and end up killing the entire planeload of innocent people.
THE BOYS doesn't just put the superhero genre on its ear, it puts it up its ass, literally.
