Author: Margaret Wander Bonanno This new STAR TREK book is the biography of Captain Christopher Pike, who helmed the Enterprise for three five-year-missions before James T. Kirk and who was horribly maimed by Delta Radiation soon after he was made Fleet Commander. It takes in to account some of his previous book adventures and totally flips around that original series 'THE CAGE' episode, so that we find out the true story of what was going on with those big-headed illusion-making aliens. Spock is contacted by those beings and is drawn back to that planet, to find out what happened to his old friend and captain. What he discovers is surprising - and a fitting end to one of Star Trek's more interesting characters. Read it?
