This is the premier issue of what promises to be a great mag if the 1st one's indicative of the future. Sixty-three pages is just the right size and packs in some great reviews, stories, and interviews. There's a great review of Stuart Gordon's Dagon and a cool article on the Ring trilogy called The Possession of Sadako: The Power of the Ring Trilogy. Part one of a double feature with Ted V. Mikels gives Ted a chance to talk about his life and career in the 'business'. There's also cool shop- talk with Brian Yuzna and Tura Satana, which are fun and enjoyable to read. The movies looked at run the gambit from horror to sexploitation to martial arts and make a great mix of classics, rarities, and sleaze. How can you not enjoy a mag that has an article on the Ilsa film series and a section of sleazy tidbits called The Grindhouse? I can't. You need to be readin' this one folks. Forget the $8 for overpriced Fango and get this instead, you'll be glad you did. I hope this has many more issues to come.
