Author: Max Allan CollinsThis third and last of the DARK ANGEL books wraps up everything that was left unresolved at the end of the television series. There's a final confrontation with Ames White, the bad guy from the second season, and we find out what happened to Lydecker, who mysteriously disappeared after finding some ancient writings about Manticore. Also, what the snake cult is up to and how Max ties into it is explained-and it's a satisfactory enough wrap up. And, most important, Max and Logan do end up being able to touch-after the threat of her virus (which is only fatal to him) is overcome.I can recommend this book for completists and fans of the series-but I found this (and the previous books in the series) to be somewhat distancing to the characters, as if author Collins had never watched the show and was getting his information second-hand.
