Author Max Allan Collins continues where the James Cameron created series left off, with the mutant transgenics in Terminal City, still at a standoff with the humans of Seattle. And if you don't know what I'm talking about then you'll have to rent out all those DVDsLet's face it-the main appeal of the 2 season television series was star Jessica Alba and more often than not it really didn't matter what the hell the episode was about. With this in consideration, this new novel is lacking, because, well, it's a novel. What it does do is to tie up some loose ends, gives some more characterization to peripheral mutant characters only seen in the last few episodes-and successfully carries on the story-line.With all the conflict going on in regard to what should happen to the government created super-beings, there's a killer in Seattle who is skinning his victims. The question is whether the serial killer is human or not. If you're a fan of the defunct series then you should like this book. It's not great but it is faithful to the characters.
