This graphic novel imaginatively resurrects some old horror favorites, namely Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein and Mr. Hyde. It's a few hundred years in the future and there's a new drug going around that turns people into bloodthirsty Hyde-creatures. A vigilante named Gristle is trying to contain the spread of it, with the help of a hunchback genius. Gristle looks just like Frankenstein's monster, dressed in a leather jacket. On one of his hunts a girl, "Doll", is injured and blinded--and the only way to restore her sight is to bond these special optics to her head. These glasses are able to detect individuals addicted to the Hyde drug. So she and Gristle become a team and uncover a huge conspiracy.
This graphic novel is a lot fun.
