In Chicago an artificial, perhaps alien, virus is released which gives people different superpowers. It also brings out their dark sides, so that those powers are used to destroy anything in sight. It's up to a policeman, Dick Urbanski, to save the city. Along with the help of a female Asian scientist he tries to do just that....until he himself becomes infected. They may have a cure but if they don't succeed in implementing it the U.S. Government is going to nuke the Windy City.
DOMINION is the flipside of what happens when someone gets superpowers, when it changes them for the worse. The graphic novel almost reads like a zombie story, as the only purpose of those infected seems to be to destroy those who aren't. This is a very cool book that's highly recommended.
