This comic is a prequel, delving into why Dr. Horrible chose to become a villain rather than a hero. It's from him seeing a battle between Maniacal and a superhero when he was in elementary school. Twenty-years later, while trying to pull of a crime, he first encounters Captain Hammer--and is sorely defeated. However, he invents a serum that will make him just as strong as the Captain. This issue has the same sense of humor as the SING ALONG BLOG and sets up the events in that video. I believe this is just a one-shot book, but it makes me wish this were a continuing series.
