Author: Alan F. Troop
This takes place four years after the events in THE DRAGON DELASANGRE, with Peter raising his son after the death of his wife and his waiting to claim a new wife, who happens to be his young sister-in-law. Her family lives in Jamaica, so Peter buys a house in the vicinity and camps out, waiting for her to go into heat. Dragons are slaves to their biology and if he is the first to claim her and mate with her they'll be mates for life. When that does happen, his wife immediately becomes pregnant with a daughter. However, his wife's family isn't so happy that he's shown up and they make plans to steal his fortune, which is father established centuries ago when he was a pirate.
This is as good as the first book and poses some interesting scenarios in regards to the dragons''ability to change their form into anyone.
