By Mark Verheiden & John Bolton The first issue of this comic book "expansion" by Mark Verheiden and John Bolton actually improves upon the movie, by having more back story of the characters, including the archeologist who unleashed the Kandarian demons to begin with. The book also makes the Ash character more similar in tone to the wise-cracking Ash in the movies EVIL DEAD 2 and ARMY OF DARKNESS. You can tell right away that both Verheiden and Bolton have a love for this cult movie and do nothing to damage the material. Read it?
