FIREBREATHER (2004)
Story: Phil Hester
Art by Andy Kuhn
Duncan is the new kid at school and has to deal with the usual stuff that goes along with that. Only for him it IS a bit more difficult, considering his ethnic background. You see, sixteen-year-old Duncan Rosenblatt has a human mother and a hundred foot tall dragon as a father. Yes, a dragon. His parents are divorced and have shared custody, so when he's with his mother he goes to high school and tries to fit in and when he's dropped off at his father's territory, courtesy of the
U.S. government who's made a truce with the monster, he's taught how to be a dragon.
This is one entertaining graphic novel and works not only as a coming of age tale but as a Kaiju story.
