When I picked up this black and white graphic novel about werewolves and thumbed through it, it seemed interesting. However, the book lost me less than halfway through it. There are two stories going on--one about what happened to the colony of Roanoke in the late 1500's, the other in present day about a young man who finds out he's a werewolf. Eventually these two stories intersect but it's done in a rather surreal way, sort of like that movie COMPANY OF WOLVES.
The biggest problem is the artwork--thick lined, with all the humans and all the werewolves looking the same, like a bad Charlton Comic from the 70's. Also, it's supposed to be a surprise to the teenager that he's a werewolf, yet he's made to look like Eddie Munster from the get-go
