First, I must say I really liked the premise of this one-shot comic, with having Ted E, Roosevelt as an "Indiana Jones" type adveturer who secretly battles supernatural forces along with such compatriots as Edgar Rice Burroughs. Here, he's trying to stop a Mayan god from resurrecting and thinks he succeeds until an alien invasion from Mars attacks 1909 Washington D.C. It's along the lines of LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN crossed with Mike Mignola's BPRD.
But this is supposed to be the story that goes along with the Frazetta painting on the cover, yet the artwork inside is as far as you can get from a "Frazetta feel" as you can get. Shouldn't the publisher have gotten an artist whose style was at least similar?
