This graphic novel version of Frankenstein is a completely different take on Frankenstein than Marvel. Here he's the part of a secret government team, "The Creature Commandos". Their headquarters, The Ant Farm, is a microscopic metropolis, created by the technology invented by Ray Palmer (The Atom). It moves around from place to place and they are able to teleport from it to the real-sized world. Creatures begin appearing from another dimension so Frankenstein and his team, which includes his six-limbed ex-wife, a werewolf, a vampire and a mummy, are tasked to stop the supernatural invasion. There's also a Creature From the Black Lagoon type creature that used to be one of the facility's scientists.
This is an entertaining read, which really reminded me of HELLBOY, with all the weird monsters. Imagine if Guillermo Del Toro directed MONSTER SQUAD and you get the idea...
