Well, this makes up for that HALLOWEEN: THIRTY YEARS OF TERROR special, that I thought was a waste of pages. THE FIRST DEATH OF LAURIE STRODE takes place right after the events of HALLOWEEN 2, with Laurie dealing with the aftermath of her friends being killed by her brother, Michael Myers. She does have one friend left, though, Sally Winters, who was home with the flu during that fateful night. Laurie is having survivor's guilt and is also angry with her adoptive parents about keeping her adoption a secret. She's also having dreams about Michael and is sure that he isn't dead. It doesn't help when she's given the diary of her older sister, Judith, who Michael had killed long ago.
It's a logical continuation that has me hooked--and there's even a clever nod to the movie HALLOWEEN 3. It would be cool if this ties in to the other HALLOWEEN sequels.
