Mike Mignola and John Byrne This is the book that inspired the motion picture directed by Guillermo del Toro. It's very low-key and dark and you can see the elements that made it into the film. And while it is interesting to compare the two, I must say that the movie adaptation is far more entertaining than this graphic novel. Read it?
