This graphic novel from DC Comics concerns a five hundred year old vampire, Andrew Bennett, who is a protector of mankind. He's made a long truce with ex-lover Mary, The Queen of Blood, which has kept the spread of vampirism under control. But with the emergence of super-powered beings, such as Superman and Green Lantern, Mary thinks it's time to make themselves known and take over the world. She begins to build a huge vampire army and bodies begin to pile up. Meanwhile, Andrew gets help-in the form of Hellblazer John Constantine and even the Dark Knight himself.
I thought the story was good but what really held me is the artwork by Sorrentino. I also thought it interesting that these DC Comics vampires can change their forms, from bats to werewolf-like creatures. Recommended.
