The first issue of this new comic series has the whole family working as superheroes. They are out for a day at the zoo when Futurion attacks--and starts transforming all the zoo animals into dinosaur-like creatures (such as an elephant's trunk into a diplodocus' neck) with his devolution bombs. So they have to subdue all the creatures and capture the robotic villain, who is hilarious. But by the time they get home they realize they forgot it was time to have a barbecue with the neighbors. When Dash sees the captured Futurion being led away on television, he notices that the robot's eyes flash, a sign he's activated one of his bombs. But hadn't they retrieved them all? Bob/Mr. Incredible goes back to the zoo and finds the last bomb, though he's almost torn apart by lions, which is a problem since he supposedly can withstand that. Could it be he's losing his powers?
This first issue is off to a great start and definitely captures the fun of the Pixar/Disney movie.
