From the writer of THE WALKING DEAD comes a tale of a young superhero, Mark Grayson, who takes on the name Invincible once his super powers manifest. He's been waiting his whole life for his powers. His father is the world's most powerful being, Omni-Man (with pretty much all the same powers as Superman). In fact, Omni-man comes from an alien world, working for a galaxy spanning peace-keeping force. There are other superheroes, though, like a JLA type super team, which has the stereotypical superpowers (superspeed, et cetera). The stories are all sort of typical until midway through the book--then something very surprising happens, which changes everything, both for Mark's family and the world.
This collects issues #1-13 of comic book series. Highly recommended.
