This four-part graphic novel from DC comics poses the 'what if' Superman and Batman never existed and how this would affect the Justice League of America. Well, the League's members don't exactly get along and the 'Super Humans' like Captain Thunder (an African-American SHAZAM) and Wonder Woman don't mix with the regular human members. And most of the world is in fear of terrorism (well, that's plausible). In fact, the world's most dangerous villain is a character called Mongol, an alien so powerful that no one can defeat him in this reality. We find out that the JLA was created by Thomas Wayne, whose wife and son were killed by a robber when he tried to interfere-and that the man known as Lex Luthor is really Jor-el, who was testing a rocketship when Krypton prematurely exploded. And it's ultimately one of these two men who will end up saving the Earth. Overall, this was an interesting read-I've always liked DC Comic's 'Elseworld' installments and this doesn't disappoint. Written by John Arcudi and artist Tom Mandrake.
