This first collection reprints the old Gold Key series from the 60's. Korak and the ape Pahkut have various adventures in the jungle. Even Tarzan's frequent monkey companion, N'kima, makes an appearance. In the first story Korak comes across a hot air balloon and rescues a blonde haired girl from some natives. Then, he rescues some natives who are being forced to mine gold ore for some evil white guys. He also rescues a couple from some pirates and then saves the life of a water buffalo from some hyenas. Of fantastical creatures, there's a giant vulture, he encounters some cavemen and a woolly mammoth from the lost land of Pal-u-don, and there's a story about a man-eating plant.
This is an entertaining batch of stories, very much like the Tarzan sales. Recommended.
