This is a very well-thought out, psychological horror novel--and a damn good sequel to Mary Shelley's classic FRANKENSTEIN. Here, the monster explains what really happened--and that he wants to end his two hundred years of self-isolation and join humanity, though he clearly regards himself something as 'more than human'. After befriending a man he encounters in the Canadian wilderness and telling his story, the man agrees to help him acclimate to present-day civilization. The monster, who has adopted the name Benjamin, becomes an instant media sensation and a financial success. But all isn't well--although the monster seems to be adapting well he's still an emotional child--and his anger towards his original human creator still exists, which lashes out in an unexpected way. Written by William Latham.
