This one-shot comic from Avatar, penned by co-creator John Russo, explains the background of that zombie girl in the basement and why she seems so intent on eating her parents. Unlike Russo's abortive 'NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD' 30th Anniversary movie - and the abysmal CHILDREN OF THE LIVING DEAD, this doesn't' contradict the Romero movie and actually adds to it. This comic is a moving little back story that works.
