This BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER novel takes place immediately after the end of the first episode, with Buffy and the gang riding away on the bus to safety, only to encounter some werewolves out in the desert. With hundreds of girls with Slayer powers out there, it's time for them to figure out what they are going to do. After all, there's evil still out there.
In fact, while Giles goes to England to help with the new Watchers' Council, Buffy, Dawn, Willow and the slayers go to Italy to regroup and are befriended by the mysterious Immortal, who lets them use his Estate. Xander is sent to Africa to learn more about the origin of the Slayer Essence. And Faith and Robin (the former Principal of SunnyDale High School) go to Cleveland, Ohio, where the OTHER Hellmouth is opening up. There's also someone who is calling herself the 'Queen of the Slayers', someone who is being influenced by some historical vampires, who want to drive the Slayers against Buffy.
Surprisingly, this is a good sequel and only marginally conflicts with Joss Whedon's BUFFY: SEASON EIGHT comic series from Dark Horse. If you're a BUFFY fan this is a must.
