I was somewhat hesitant to read this as one of the co-creators really puts me off (bad experience with him and his stupid motorcycle years ago)--but I'm glad I got past that, as this is an intriguing first issue.
This starts off in New Orleans, in 2005, with a man being brought back to life. Then it skips to Los Angeles, with the story of the main characters, David and Sarah Sacker. ccccAfter he is leaving a federal building he gets caught in an explosion and is briefly hospitalized before going home. Then two homeland security agents come knocking and want his wife, believing she has something to do with the explosion. David assures her he'll do everything he can to get her out of their custody--and at home he has an encounter with that dead-alive man from the first few pages. They have a fight and he chases him into a dead-end alley, but he's mysteriously disappeared.
there's a lot of unanswered questions and I had no idea where this all is leading-- but it definitely makes me want to read the next issue...
