This graphic novel successfully bridges the gap between the FIREFLY series and the first SERENITY movie. The government has sent to agents to recover Simon and River Tam and a bounty hunter is after Mal, for revenge. There's also some interesting interaction between Mal and Inara and also a falling out between Shepherd and Mal, which is the reason why Shepherd decides to leave the ship.
