Skaar, son of the Hulk, wanders the Savage Land, thinking he has no home. Actually, it's the perfect place for him, as there's plenty of danger and creatures for him to battle. In fact, the opening pages have him fighting a few T-Rexes with is bare hands. Shanna the She Devil introduces her eight-year old son to Skaar, as they are the same age (! He matured much faster than a human). Meanwhile, Kazar is in a meeting at the Savage Land Council of Tribes, where he urges them to deal with the outside word. He wants to open an international trade treaty. But other members want to remain isolated, because of the recent events with Roxxon Oil. They even tell Kazar that the Savage Land is not in his blood.
Shanna gets possessed by an ancient alien intelligence called "The Designer", one of the aliens responsible for creating the Savage Land thousands of years ago. She wants every non-natives--including Kazar-- to leave or else she'll destroy them. But the Savage land is inhabited by many different people, some who came from the outside world over the millenia, and they don't want to leave. So there's a battle. It culminates with the possessed Shanna summoning the giant robot Umbu--and it's up to Skaar to defeat this stone giant before he can stop the rotation of the planet and destroy the Earth. In the send, Skaar becomes the new King of the Savage land.
This is an interesting tale of Marvel's Savage Land and I thought it cool it has cameos by some characters we haven't seen in a while, such as Moon Boy, Devil Dinosaur and even Kid Colt!
