I liked this first issue even less than I enjoyed THE ZOMBIES THAT ATE THE WORLD #1. The premise is that a scientist finds a cure for a mysterious plague, yet this cure causes superpowers to manifest in people, so it's the birth of superheroes and super villains. Then, years later another plague breaks out, this time transforming everyone into zombies, including those superpowered people. Of course, chaos ensues.
While the book tries very hard to make something new of this over-tired genre, I found this premiere issue way too convoluted and not at all itching to pick up the second issue.
