Still trapped in the Lost Valley, Native Americans Turok and Andar encounter a group of cavemen who have rafts and live on a floating island that they can move around. They kidnap people from other tribes for slaves. The two free the slaves and get a brontosaurus to inadvertently destroy the island. Then, Andar finds a brontosaur egg and decides to raise the baby dinosaur so he can ride it. He says that he was a skilled horseman before they fell into this valley (This is weird, since he's supposed to be from a tribe of indians that existed before the white man ever landed in North American and brought horses with them).
They also save a tribe from an erupting volcano by using the wooden floors of their huts as makeshift rafts and escaping on the nearby lake. Then, a tribe living by the shore is upset and wants to kill Turok and Andar when they kill a pteranodon that was attacking them. The lake tribe worships the flying reptiles as gods because they believe they rise fully formed from the water of this huge lake. But Turok tells them that they'll get proof that they hatch from eggs, so they goes on a quest to find their breeding ground. They find two eggs, which hatch. However, like the baby brontosaur in the earlier story they feel responsible for the two fledglings and so feed them fish until they are able to hunt on their own like their mother would.
