I'm a big fan of Marvel's Ultimate Universe characters, primarily because the stories and situations are more dire--and more can happen in the stories. The book starts off promising, with a new FF team that consists of Sue Storm, Machine Man, Iron Man and The Falcon. Sue is still affected by the betrayal of the insane Reed Richards, who has seemingly changed his behavior after he glimpsed the life of the regular universe Reed Richards and how he and Sue married and had children. He now wants to help. Machine Man is different, here--he's a construct from left-over pieces of this universe's version of Galactus. Oh, and Doctor Doom shows up, as does Namor. But once the stories started dealing with the multi-verse and it tied in the Marvel Zombies stories and presented a universe where animals talk, particularly "The Amazing Spider Ham", a humanoid pig, I was no longer entertained. It's just too goofy and scattershot, with a very different tone than other Ultimate books. Also, the majority of the artwork sucks. I did not dig this graphic novel. In fact, I wanted to bury it.
