This book reprints six of the most sought after Valiant Comics from the 90's. The first chapter has Magnus: Robot Fighter going to the prehistoric dimension where Turok and Andar have been trapped. People from his own time have found a portal--and want to take it over by killing off the local tribesmen. But they are using modern resources and energy--and even have giant robot dinosaurs. It's very cool and is the best story in the book. Next two stories are "The Man Who Killed Tomorrow", which features Doctor Solar and The Eternal Warrior against the Harbinger Foundation and encountering a young boy who is a protector of the Earth. The primary threat here is a woman who was caught in the same explosion that gave Doctor Solar his powers--and she ends up disintegrating herself. In "Evil Reincarnate" Gilad, the Eternal Warrior, is up against a foe who is reborn every generation. He first encountered him in ancient China and is now up against him when he's a South American criminal. The story ends with an appearance by Bloodshot. The story is continued in "The Blood is the Life", which reminded me that Rai, the superhero from 4002 A.D. has the nanobot blood that is now coursing through Bloodshot's veins. Also, Gilad encounters a love interest who is dying of cancer. It's an interesting story because Bloodshot can't remember anything from his past and Gilad remembers everything from his very long life. The last story, "Death and Resurrection" features the least of the Valiant characters, Shadowman. Eh. But overall, this is worth checking out, to see early 90's comics at their best.
