WARLASH is this masked, armored superhero with a sword who fights disgusting monsters. He doesn't seem to have superpowers but is pumped full of amphetamines, as stated in one story. He's like BATMAN on drugs. In the opening tale, PHLEGM FATALE, he's in the sewers rescuing a woman from a mutated, wormlike creature that wants to spread its contagion. Then he goes on to battle a giant Worm and "The Demon", this devil-like creature who looks like he escaped from the movie BLADE II. In GRUBBS he's after a thug who is a walking infection.
The comic has a 1950's Superhero straight-forwardness to it, mixed with adult situations, so it has a weird vibe. And while the stories kept me hooked there are four of them, all "To be continued...". I would have rather seen one entire story as I do have a good attention span.
