I remember reading somewhere or seeing an interview that Rob Zombie never liked the goofy horror show hosts when he was a kid because he liked his horror serious. Well, in the first two issues of this new comic he takes a stab at that once-childhood mainstay and comes up with something truly entertaining. It begins in the present, with two similarly dressed horror hosts battling it out before the studio cameras. Then, it's a flashback to the life of Leon Stokes, 25 years earlier. Leon is working as the PA/Janitor on The Uncle Spooky show--and when that horror host quits he takes over and soon becomes a cult phenomenon. He becomes Baron Von Shock. However, the fame is short-lived. He's fired and has a heart attack. And in the present his life sucks. He lives with his mother. When he hears that the Baron is being revived--and portrayed by a Hollywood actor, the crap hits the fan...
