My name is MJ Preston and I am a horror author from Canada. I don't claim to be Stephen King or Clive Barker, but my novel: THE EQUINOX is getting great feedback.

I've come here for two reasons really. I am a huge fan of the genre and I am also giving away free e-versions of my novel up until Christmas. If you'd like to get a free e-copy of my novel in either Kindle, ePub or PDF format you can visit my website and as a bonus your name goes in for a draw for a free signed trade paperback.

There are no strings attached to this giveaway, I am simply doing it to reach a wider audience and I believe that if people enjoy my book they are going to tell other people.

Anyway, I'll end the infomercial there and thank you for having me.

My Novel Is Available on Amazon For Download

My name is David Brown and my first novel WEB is up on sale on Amazon and on Barnes and Noble. I am trying to get the word out about the novel. The novel was written in 1994 and copyrighted in 1999 when i looked liked it was actually going to get published, but then the publisher decided to cut back on their titles and I just decided recently to publish it as an ebook.

The novel was inspired by Jack Hill's 1964 film Spider Baby, which I'm sure a lot of you know about. The Jill Banner character Virginia liked to play spider and, ofcourse, the movie had Lon Chaney Jr, who used to be the Wolf Man. I saw it for the first time in 1989. This got me to thinking about a woman bitten by a spider and turning into a were-spider, but this sounded a little hokey. The idea set around until 1994 when I came across the Greek Legend of Arachne, who was transformed by Athena into a spider as punishment. Once I got the idea of a spider who could make herself appear human (instead of the other way around), I immediately sat down and wrote the first draft.....back in the good old days on a typewriter (would still be a few years before I got my first PC). Over the next few years, I wrote another two drafts before offering it up to the publishers. As I said, I came close, but got discouraged when the publisher pulled out at the last moment, so I filed it away for years until last month when I dug it out, blew off the dust and decided to try to sell it myself online.

Hi! My name is Naching Kassa. i just published a horror novel called "The Venihi". It is set in the small town of Chewelah, Washington and is about a woman who can see souls. She can see stains on the soul and that is how she knows whether or not a person is evil. She has tried to hide from evil for 17 years, but all of that is about to change when she meets The Venihi! This novel is based on a Samoan legend that my mother told me.
Have you ever heard of the Venihi? She appears to be a beautiful woman on the outside, but if you look at her peripherally, her tongue snakes out of her mouth and licks the earth!
My novel is available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com and Xlibris.com. Amazon and Barnesandnoble are much cheaper. My book is also available on Kindle and Nook.
If you do read my book, would you be kind enough to review it for me? i would appreciate your feedback!

My novella, Lifetimes of Blood, is now available as an ebook. It was originally published back in 2000 by Darktales Publications, but has been out of print for years. I decided to give the ebook thing a try and release it on Amazon and B&N. Here's a brief description.

Homeless people gutted on the streets of New York at the turn of the century...soldiers left in compromising positions with their throats slit in World War II London...high school athletes tortured for days in the Heartland of America in recent times. Scores of murders, spanning even a greater number of years. And all with one horrifying, disturbing, evil connection: a man named Jonas.

Check it out if you get the chance. I'd love to hear any feedback.

Through countless eons, Earth has been visited by a plethora of different alien races. For most, they came for the same reason man still peers into the night sky- curiosity. They came, they saw, they took snapshots, some even picked up a few biological specimens as souvenirs and went home. Only one race of aliens liked Earth enough to stay, until now.

A typical, quiet (boring) evening is significantly enlivened when a man is confronted with something very unexpected in his bathroom. When a very small vehicle, camoflaged to appear as a humble roach, operated by a race of extremely tiny invaders makes first contact the question isn't do they come in peace but will they leave in pieces? The Tiniest Invaders is over 110,000 words in length which comes out to approximately 284 pages in length.

The story explores what happens when Earth is invaded by aliens so tiny that humans don't even know it happened. The aliens like Earth. Well, most of the things they like. The only problem they are facing is deciding whether to remove the idiotic humans or try to find a way to coexist with them.

Congratulations to the writers of the terrific stories by the winners of last month's contest on the horror of technology:

"Health Care 2016" by Jan Kozlowski
“All muscle, baby” by Brandon Belched
"Outgrown" by Chris Marrs
"A World at Play" by Dan Reed

Hats off to the writers of these stories and our honorable mentions:

"Swipe: A Bloody Carousel or It's On!" by Eric S. Grizzle
"Like Lemmings" by Janet Joyce Holden
"Heathcliff" by Sherry Perkins

They've crafted some darkly humorous, intriguing, and thought-provoking tales, all of which are available http://neconebooks.com/flash.htm

They'll stick with you long after you've powered down your computer...unless you've powered down your computer because it has turned hostile, in which case we recommend you flee the vicinity of the offending machine immediately and send YOUR flash fiction entry for this month's contest via another computer.

To past and future contestants: FLASH US, PLEASE! We want to see how you handle our latest contest:

Your story can be about anything you want, so long as it's 100 WORDS or less; however, only 97 of those words are completely up to you. This month, we asked each of our four judges to provide a noun, a verb, and an adjective (and the more eccentric, the better). Each submission this month MUST use at least one word off each list (one noun, one verb, and one adjective listed below). Whomever best weaves these seemingly bizarre, non-horror related words into their story will be published on our site next month!

REQUIRED WORDS:
NOUNS: Bourbon; Jalepeño; Manatee; Skyscraper
VERBS: Belch; Saturate; Write; Yodel
ADJECTIVES: Buxom; Fingerlicking; Floral; Pastel

Necon E-Books reserves the right to republish all WINNING and HONORABLE MENTION pieces (i.e. all those published on our web site) in our end-of-year anthology of Flash Fiction. Otherwise, all rights revert to the authors as soon as the winners are announced each month.

Submission deadline is April 30th, 2011.
Please submit work either directly in an email or attached as a text, RTF or MS Word document.

Unlike some authors who toss off 30 or 40 thousand words and call it a novel, I spent nearly eight years working on Valley of Death. (Not counting six or seven agonizing rewrites) VOD clocks in at just over 110,000 painstakingly chosen words, and I have received positive remarks from people who enjoy a good scary story. It is not a gross out novel. It's believable characters fighting to overcome a horrible situation. Yes, there are gory portions, but the underlying message of survival against overwhelming odds is more in the style of high adventure with humorous elements gently sprinkled where appropriate. If you want gore and lots of it, Valley of Death is most likely not for you.
If you visit smashwords.com you can preview the first 40% of the entire story. And even if you don't like it I sincerely hope you will take the time to truthfully and thoughtfully explain why and drop me a note at handsonpp@aol.com

Thanks
William Bebb
author and exotic dancer

If you visit Smashwords.com you can now look at 40% of the entire book for free. And the best part is the download is available in every imaginable format. http://www.smashword...ooks/view/38748
You can now also find Valley of Death by William Bebb at Barnes & Noble and Amazon. PLUS: If you visit youtube you can enjoy eighteen minutes of the author's favorite excerpts from VOD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awfUmWaPWJ0

Thanks again to everyone who dropped me a line and gave their opinion at handsonpp@aol.com
