Composer Steven Price is able to add a little gold to his shelf tonight as his score for the sci-fi thriller Gravity has one "Best Score" at the Oscars. This was the first Academy Award nomination for Price. He was nominated for this score at the Golden Globes as well as several prestigious film ceremonies as well as winning at the 2014 BAFTA awards and other ceremonies.
For those of you who haven't seen the movie and had a chance to experience Price's score, it's something truly fantastic. Price manages to capture the terror and fear of the film while also injecting the humanity and emotion. It's a truly wonderful score, one that you should check out when you have some time to appreciate it.
Keep up on Gravity‘s mammoth winnings tonight right here.
