Long Beach Comic Con Guest Update! Illustrators, Writers and Legends...Oh My! Final Stop On Lance Hendrikson Book Tour. Long Beach Comic Con, October 29 and 30 is packed to the hilt with the best and brightest the industry has to offer. The latest and greatest to sign up include; Steve Niles, Bernie Wrightson, Digger Mesch, David Wohl, JT Krul, Brian Haberlin, Mark Irwin, and Lance Hendrikson.
Hendrikson, whose feature film works includes mega sci-fi hits The Terminator and Aliens, is making LBCC the final stop on his book tour. His biography, "Not Bad For a Human – The Life and Films of Lance Henriksen," which he co-authored with Joseph Maddrey was limited to a print run of only 5,000 copies. The book features art by Eric Powell, Sienkiewicz, Mike Mignola, Tim Bradstreet, Ashley Wood, Kelley Jones and Tom Mandrake.
"The book opened up a door for me. Guys like Steve Niles and Tim Bradstreet pulled me into their world of comics, a world I never would have known any other way. Now I'm surrounded with all of this talent, and I'm really grateful to be a part of it," said Hendrikson.
"When planning a Comic Convention you have to think about the artists and writers that fans want to interact with. Our LBCC team took great care and thought in to putting together the current roster," said Phil Lawrence, Director of the Long Beach Comic Con. He added, "We plan to continue adding artists and writers until we run out of room at the show."
