Playboy model and actress Angelina Leigh has joined the cast of SLIME CITY MASSACRE, which already includes Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins, Brooke Lewis, horror author Kealan Patrick Burke and filmmaker Roy Frumkes. The film starts shooting next month.
"Fans tend to rememeber Eva Lee, who played the prostitute in the original SLIME CITY," says screenwriter and director Greg Lamberson. "The delivery of her character's line, 'You crazy bastard!' after having her face slashed with a straight edge razor is probably the most memorable one in the film, but for all the wrong reasons. For SLIME CITY MASSACRE I want to correct mistakes made on the first film, so I created the small role of a prostitute, Honey, trying to survive the film's post apocalyptic environment. Angelina moved back to my area, outside Buffalo, and started working in indie films like Jay Mager's crime drama BORN TO DIE, and I heard from Jay and my local SFX supervisor, Rod Durick, that she was talented and easy to work with, very down to earth. I started expanding her role, and now she'll have one of the most memorable death scenes in the film."
Leigh has also appeared in the recent productions HOUSE OF HORRORS: THE MOVIE, THE GREAT AMERICAN SERIAL KILLER, CLERIC and THE ROTKAPPCHEN: THE BLOOD OF RED RIDING HOOD, and has lead roles in the upcoming THE CABIN and ANOMALY. Her main scenes in SLIME CITY MASSACRE will be with Perkins and Rochon, and she'll be working alongside another Buffalo actress, Jennifer Bihl, who stars in the film.
"Angelina's worked on a lot of films in a short period of time," continues Lamberson. "I predict she's going to be very popular with scream queen fans."
