Scarecrow: Legend Trailer Released Online

Written and Directed by Joseph Bat and Produced by Byron Scott, the six minute trailer features incredible production values and was produced separate from the feature film, but contains elements appearing in the final film. Filmmakers from around the world were involved with the production. The trailer features a little girl who wonders too far into a field and confronts a scarecrow. Initially filmed to attract distributors/investors, the trailer has been well received by media and horror enthusiasts. The filmmakers later released the trailer to announce the film and receive feedback from fans. Several festivals have shown enthusiastic interest in previewing the trailer, although no showings have been confirmed.

The full story for the feature film is still under wraps, but the film does revolve around an evil scarecrow coming alive during the Halloween holiday and terrorizing a small town, whose fate rests in the hands of a group of adolescents. The film contains brand new scarecrow lore never seen before and twists and turns. The film is aimed for mature audiences. Terrestrial Pictures and Illusion Enterprises co-produced the trailer and will co-produce the feature film, which is planned for completion at the end of 2008.
