New York Times bestselling authors Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson have created characters and adventures, acclaimed by critics and listeners alike, expanding on the epic Dune Novels of Frank Herbert. Next month, they will release SISTERHOOD OF DUNE, the newest addition to this amazing legacy! The story, which is a fascinating novel about the formation of the DUNE universe set 83 years after the last of the thinking machines was destroyed in THE Battle of Corrin, will be available in print and as an audiobook on 1/3/12. I'd love to speak with you about reviewing this installment in the series in audio, read by the very talented Scott Brick, who has won numerous Audiofile Earphones Awards for his work in science fiction. Brick has narrated eleven of the previous Dune books as well as Herbert and Anderson's most recent series, Hellhole. He has worked closely with the authors to develop the correct pronunciations for the thousands of characters featured in the series, many of which, as the three discuss in a bonus interview included on the program, date back to Frank Herbert's original notes and recordings!
SISTERHOOD OF DUNE
By Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson

83 years after the last thinking machines were destroyed in The Battle of Corrin, great changes are brewing that will shape and twist all of humankind
New York Times bestselling authors Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson team up once again for their newest addition to the Dune series, Sisterhood of Dune, a riveting science fiction epic that explores the growing contest between Reason and Faith.
Returning to narrate is Scott Brick, who has read eleven of their previous Dune books as well as Herbert and Anderson's most recent series, Hellhole. He's worked with both Herbert and Anderson on developing the correct pronunciations for the thousands of characters featured in the Dune series, many of which, as the three discuss in a bonus interview included on the program, date back to Frank Herbert's original notes and recordings.
The last Dune story was published in 2009, and in the writing of Sisterhood of Dune, Anderson and Herbert actually re-listened to the audiobook edition of The Butlerian Jihad which chronologically precedes Sisterhood of Dune to confirm several story points, characters and details that may have differed as the story went through different drafts. Fans of the series will be particularly interested by the many familiar names that populate the audiobook, including Vorian Atreides, Anari Idaho, Erasmus and the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood. "It's very exciting for us," said Herbert, "and we think it will be exciting for the fans, too."
BRIAN HERBERT has been nominated for both the Hugo and the Nebula Awards. In 2003, he published Dreamer of Dune, a Hugo Award-nominated biography of his father.
KEVIN J. ANDERSON has been nominated for the Nebula Award, the Bram Stoker Award, and the SFX Reader's Choice Award. He set the Guinness-certified world record for the largest single-author book signing.
