Independent Entertainment To Release Undead Crime Caper, Stiffed Coming To Dvd And Digital 02/21/2012. Stiffed, the "morbidly hilarious"* undead crime caper from actor-director Billy Garberina (Feeding the Masses, Necroville) and writer-producer Devin O'Leary (The Stink of Flesh, Gimme Skelter) will hit the DVD and digital markets February 21, 2012 from Independent Entertainment, the newest independent home entertainment label under the Alternative Cinema banner. *beyondhollywood.com
Starring Kevin Santry, Daniel T. Cornish, Phil Duran and Jamison Jontry, Stiffed Tells the tale of three wanna-be gangsters and a stripper with a hotline to hell:
Bored with booze, strippers and a little light armed robbery, Frank, Keno and Milton plan and execute the perfect bank heist – only to end up in the county morgue after a horrific car crash.
Fortunately, Frank's latest sexual conquest is a demon-worshipping pole dancer with big plans for a trio of crooks who can't be killed…because they're already dead. Now, with an intrepid police detective hot on their rotting heels and a girlfriend from Hell pulling their strings, our criminal geniuses have their work cut out for them. If only they can keep from falling apart ... professionally and physically!
Stiffed will kick-off Independent Entertainment's 2012 horror release schedule, devoted to delivering original and entertaining micro-budget genre cinema to its niche market.
Stiffed director Billy Garberina commented, "I'm really excited to be working with Alternative Cinema again with the release of my new movie, Stiffed. Stiffed is what I imagine might happen if Quentin Tarantino and George Romero made a crime movie on a shoe-string-budget. It's got pulp, crime, gangster shenanigans, soft core, zombies, satanists, strippers, a meth addled skinhead drug lord and a tough as nails cop trying to make sense of the whole mess. It's a gritty jambalaya of all the best low budget cinema has to offer!
Writer-Producer Devin O'Leary added, "There's a certain amount of angst that goes hand-in-hand with selling off your first feature to a distributor. That's why I'm thrilled it ended up at Alternative Cinema. Several of my compatriots in the low-to-no-budget horror field (Billy Garberina, Raine Brown, Richard Griffin) have had their films released through Alt.cinema's various labels, so I'm confident they're the perfect company to get this crazy supernatural crime comedy of ours out into the hands of folks who like their action bloody, their humor black and their zombies stinky.
