Leading independent film label Camp Motion Pictures and director Devi Snively announce a North American cross platform marketing and distribution agreement to release her award-winning shorts and feature Trippin' in spring of 2012.
Trippin', a festival favorite and Ms. Snively's first feature film, has been called "funny as a comedy, sharp as social commentary and scary as a horror story, a success on every front"*, "campy as hell, full of drugs, gore, and sex, and loads of fun" as well as "a smart, multi-layered film which manages to avoid the genre-pandering and other pitfalls that have come to define today's horror-comedy genre."** To be released day-and-date with TRIPPIN' across digital platforms and as ancillary content on the Limited Edition 2-disc DVD are Ms. Snively's collection of short films including the AFI-produced Death in Charge starring Marina Benedict (TORCHWOOD), Last Seen on Dolores Street (Comic Con 2012 screening and panel), Raven Gets a Life, Meat is Murder, Confederate Zombie Massacre, Teenage Bikini Vampire and I Spit on Eli Roth.
In the horror black comedy, told from the perspective of the sole survivor, six friends road trip to a remote cabin in the woods with deadly results. A year later, the survivor meets director Devi Snively in a bar and offers the rights to his story for a case of beer and a role in the film. Trippin' is that film. So, as the marketing kit proclaims, prepare yourself for a little sex, a little gore, some good and bad times with some good and bad buds. It's a bloodier The Big Chill for a Kevin Smith generation...with a puppet!

A series of screenings, signing and promotions in the NYC and Los Angeles areas leading up to the 04/10/2012 TRIPPIN release are currently being finalized.
About Devi Snively and Deviant Pictures
Devi's unique approach to the horror genre has been likened to everything from the silent classics of Buster Keaton to EC Comics to Tim Burton and beyond. In 2011 All THINGS HORROR list Devi as one of the "10 New Faces of Horror." In 2010 Chicago Now named Devi one of the "13 Most Influential Women in Horror." She is a featured director in author Greg Lamberson's Bram-Stoker Award-nominated book Cheap Scares, about the next wave of horror auteurs. In 2007, Devi was invited as one of only 8 participants in the American Film Institute's (AFI) Directing Workshop for Women where she directed her multi-award winning short Death in Charge, in which she continues to explore themes of life and death with playful irony. When she's not making her own, Devi teaches her always over-enrolled horror film course at the University of Notre Dame and The American Music and Dramatic Academy in Hollywood. Her latest feature screenplay Paige & Hadley's Prom From Hell, written with partner Circus-Szalewski, has most recently placed as a finalist in the Sundance Writer's Lab and took the Grand Jury Award for Best Screenplay at the London Independent Film Festival, among numerous other awards.
