This six-hour mini-series on USA Network is sort of the flip-side of TAKEN. In fact, one of the lead actors was in that same mini-series. Here, 4400 people mysteriously appear from a ball of light that approaches Earth. All of them have been missing, anywhere from the 1930's to the present. The story follows several of these characters and how they adapt to their new time period. There's the black guy from the 1950's who finds present day much more liberal. The blonde woman he ultimately hooks up with has to deal with finding out her husband had remarried and her daughter not knowing who she is. He also wants nothing to do with her. Also, a teenager who is the nephew of one of the investigators was missing for three years...and discovers that he has the power to restore or take life with a mere touch. In fact, many of the 4400 exhibit strange powers.The BIG question is why they were taken and why they were brought back to the present day with these newfound abilities? In the last episode the big secret is revealed and....it's kind of a let down. But it does provide a good excuse to turn this into a regular television series, which would be cool.
