This is basically an African-American take on THE EXCORCIST, with William Marshall (BLACULA) as a reverend who accidently unleashes an evil African spirit, which possesses his daughter-in-law, Abby. Normally mild-mannered, Abby starts doing uncharacteristic things, like taking off her clothes in front of fellow church members, swearing like a sailor, and picking up guys in bars, to the dismay of her religious husband. When she's taken over she's creepy, with that possessed 'Linda Blair' look, which has flash-frames to the evil spirit that possesses her. Much better than other EXCORCIST rip-offs like Naschy's EXCORCISM or RUBY.
