This is sort of a low-budget version of the ANDROMEDA STRAIN. A virus is brought back from Mars which has a 100% fatality with whom it infects. Two scientists talk about it at the beginning of the film, then we go aboard a train, where a scientist is transporting canisters of the virus for biological warfare experiments. One of the train workers, though, is overly curious about the mysterious cargo and breaks into the car only to accidently smash several of the viles. When the train stops in a rural area all the people at the station are infected and are quickly quarantined. A few of them try to escape but are gunned down, the woman character commits suicide and one of the others is indeed killed by the virus, which explodes his head in very grisly manner. In the end only the scientist survives only to be gunned down by the military 'cleanup' crew. The dialogue is stilted and the story familiar but it's still entertaining. Produced/Directed by Bill Rebane.
