AWP makes for fun viewing at times, but it can't hold a candle to An American Werewolf in London, though it does try very hard to be cool. Similar in title and story to its predecessor, this time we get another American bitten in Paris who stumbles into a whole strange little werewolf underground. It has a few moments of both gore and fun, but sometimes I found it a bit too silly and the wolf FX suck. Most of the beasts looked more like apes to me than werewolves, go figure. Still, it ain't bad, but I was hoping for way more considering the title. Julie Delpy shows some hairy tittys, now that shit was scary, making for extra excitement. I guess somebody figured this film would cash in on the classic movie that came before, not sure if it ever did. The whole werewolf society angle provides some interest, but overall the movie just doesn't do much with what it has. The little bimbo chick was kinda funny, but all of this stuff we've seen before. The crappy FX compared to Rick Baker's stuff are the main thing that holds this back for me. This thing gives us all one more reason to say fuck France and vacation at home.
