This is one of the oddest movies I've seen in a long while. In a small town named Bridgeville, two cyborg aliens show up to prepare for their planet's invasion of Earth. The female alien, who looks just like Lisa Marie Presley, manages to woo a writer away from his double-chinned wife. The male alien, who looks like Mr. Clean, falls hopelessly in love with a woman whose husband died a year before. It seems that the female is just using the man to find out our 'human' weakness, while the male forgets his mission and starts to become more human when he falls in love, an experience he has never had before. The weird thing is that not a lot is shown. It's explained that murdered bodies are being found in the town-and this is obviously because of the two aliens-yet all this is just talked about. IN fact, the movie consists primarily of a series of interviews with all the characters. Some, like the writer and the widow, are interviewed by an off-camera man with a Southern accent. One woman (who looks like Ally Sheedy), a former biochemist who seems infatuated with how great technology is, keeps a video diary and that's what the viewer sees. This actress, by the way, is the best performer in the movie. I supposed the gist of the movie is about 'what it is to be human and to have emotions'. Some of the things said are insightful, some are trite and at other things said you want to slap your forehead and go 'huh?'.Written, Produced and Directed by Jason SibertContact: jasonsibert@hotmail.com
