Criminals are being beat up in a warehouse. At first we think it's Batman-but it turns out to be Batwoman. The Dark Knight does show up, and expresses his dislike of her using a gun. She's almost killed but he saves her-just as the building explodes. From that point on, Bruce Wayne is missing. When Nightwing (Dick Grayson, the original Robin) confronts her, she tells him that Batman is dead. He doesn't believe it. So he, Batman's son, Damian (the new Robin) and Batwing (son of Lucious Fox) investigate. Meanwhile, Alfred, using a sophisticated computer imaging program, is able to pretend he's Bruce Wayne via skype-type interactions with Wayne Industries. Eventually, the Bat-oriented superheroes discover that Bruce is being held captive by The Black Mask, and so they must rescue him.
This is a decent continuation of the Batman stories such as SON OF BATMAN, with the older version of Batman rather than the "New 52" version. Jason O'Mara (Terra Nova, Life on Mars) does the voice of Batman and Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck, Dexter), does the voice of Katherine Kane/Batwoman. Recommended.
